Women of Search was founded in May 2021 out of a desire to form meaningful connections with women in the search and information retrieval field.
Founder, Audrey Lorberfeld
Audrey Lorberfeld is a librarian-turned-software engineer with a passion for building community. When not working, she enjoys hikes with her rescue pups.
Core Member, Erika Shorten
Erika Shorten is a Technology Partner Manager at Weaviate, focused on partner collaborations and scaling the technology ecosystem by building applications that leverage vector search and generative AI.

Atita Arora is an independent AI Solution Architect with 17+ years of experience in information retrieval. She is also a frequent speaker at top IR and AI conference.

Elzbieta (‘Ela’) Jakubowska is a software developer with 9+ years of experience in search. Based in Kracow, Ela enjoys remote work, gardening, and reading essays (if you know Iosif Brodski or Melchior Wankowicz, give her a shout!)
